I dread doing this but the price of fuel has more than doubled in the last couple of years, and I must. I am raising
the price of the Tupelo Tour for Elvis Week and probably forever. In previous years, I set a price of $75 for the
Tupelo Tour that included – for Elvis Week only – catered lunch and admission to the Birthplace. This year, I am
raising the price for the same tour to $95. You still get lunch and admission during Elvis Week.
I will do the Tupelo tour on August 10 and 17, leaving Memphis at 9:00 AM. You must prepay for this tour in order
to me prepare for lunch and hire the appropriate coach or van. You cam send a PM, or email me at
michaelwfreem@yahoo.com to inquire.
FYI, if you drive yourself to Tupelo the Elvis Presley Birthplace Park has raised its admission from $7 to $10,
effective immediately.
Because I want to fully participate in as many Elvis Week events as possible I will book only a few Tupelo or
Memphis tours between August 9 and 17. For example, in years past I typically booked a coach tour of Tupelo
during their Fan Appreciation Day. But this year's Fan Appreciation Day will be August 9 on the same day as the
5 K Fun Run. So, I will not go to Tupelo that day.
I will do a Memphis tour on August 15 starting at 10 AM, after the breakfast at the Car Museum. The $60 price will
include admission into Elvis' former apartment in Lauderdale Courts and lunch. Starting point TBA, but will be very
near Graceland. We will return by 4 PM, in plenty of time to prepare or rest for the Vigil.
If you are in Memphis just before August 9 or after August 17, then you can book either tour, but not the lunch
deal, and we will not have a conflict with any special events.
