JUDY PALMER
Judy Palmer will do her first-ever book, and I will publish it.
Judy had what most fans dream of having: contact with Elvis and
the ability to capture the moment on camera.
Judy taught herself
photography skills, and her photos were highly prized from the
beginning. For the concerts she taught herself to photograph
using natural light. This allowed her to capture intimate images of
Elvis on stage without disturbing him.
In this copy of her photo below, Judy  captured Elvis' profile in
the half light of s stage spotlight. Elvis was in the audience of a
Tom Jones show. Tom was about to introduce Elvis to his
audience. Read how Elvis would upstage Tom (with Tom's
permission) and see the photos of that night in
Judy's new book.

Read my blog about Judy's
Elvis Week visit.

Judy and I
She managed the "Kissin' Cousins" Fan club for several years and attended dozens of
shows in Las Vegas and his West Coast tours.  She has very fond memories of meeting
Elvis and Priscilla in 1965 and 1968 in Memphis, and again in Los Angeles.  She was in
Memphis the same month that Lisa Marie was born. Some of her candid photos were taken
on the day that Lisa Marie arrived home.
Judy sat in the ring side during the 68 Comeback
Show (she is visible in some of the film footage), and at several later  concerts. She was
interviewed by Jerry Hopkins for his first biography of Elvis, and is mentioned in the last
chapter.

Judy is a shy person and doesn't claim a greater friendship with Elvis than is accurate.
She did share her photographs with the Presley family and made friends with many people
in the "Elvis world."  Until August 2008
Judy has never participated in Elvis Week or in any
fan activity for over 25 years. Some of her friends thought that she had died. Of course a
whole generation of fans does not know who she is. They have undoubtedly seen some of
her photos, but usually without any credit given to her. No one has ever seen her photos
in one book, in context  with her stories.
Judy is an enthusiastic storyteller and
remembers her moments with Elvis in great detail.

In this photo
Judy caught Elvis' face in half light. Elvis is about to be introduced from the
audience by Tom Jones during Tom's show. Elvis would go on stage and goof off with Tom
to the delight of  everyone on and off stage.
Judy captured the whole sequence of events
on camera.
